Prerequisite

MATH 241 with a grade of C or higher


My Expectations for You

Attend every class and be on time.

Read appropriate sections of text before class.

Attempt all homework.

Ask questions if you do not understand something or wish to know more.

Remember (or review) what you learned in calculus.

Make it your goal to understand everything we do.


Grading

Exams

(300 points) In class exams will be given on 9-16, 10-19, and 11-16.

Make-up exams will be given only in extreme circumstances.

Contact me in advance if you think your situation merits a make-up.

Homework

(100 points) Homework will be assigned daily and is due at the next class.

You are to receive no assistance on the homework. You may discuss the problems

with me. Late homework will be accepted only under extreme circumstances. Your

total homework score for the semester will be prorated to 100 points.

Final Exam

(150 points) A comprehensive final will be given from 9:00-Noon on Wednesday, December 7.


Grading Scale

A 91-100; B+ 89-90; B 81-88; C+ 79-80; C 71-78; D+ 69-70; D 60-68; F 0-59


The regulations in the code of student academic responsibility prohibit bribery, cheating,

lying, plagiarism, and misuse of telephone information processing system. Violations can

result in serious penalties including suspension from the University. A copy of the code
