Professional Information

 I left Bowling Green State University in August 2000, and joined the Department of Statistics at the University of South Carolina, Columbia.

 In the academic year 1999-2000 I was a Visiting Professor in the Department of Biostatistics (50%) and the Department of Statistics (50%) of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

 Until August 2000, I was a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Bowling Green State University at Bowling Green, Ohio. I started as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Bowling Green State University in 1986, and became Associate Professor there in 1991.

 In 1995-96 I was Visiting Associate Professor of the Department of Biostatistics of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. This was my sabbatical leave.

 Since 1993 I have been serving as Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Statistical Association.

 I started my teaching career in the University of the Philippines at Los Banos in 1979 just after completing my undergraduate degree, and came to the United States as a graduate student at the Department of Statistics, Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida in 1982.
