Assignment 1Due: Tues. Sept. 1stChapter 2: 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11
Assignment 2*RESCHEDULED*
Due: Tues. Sept. 15th
see Handout
Assignment 3Due: Thurs. Sept. 17thChapter 3: 2, 5, 11, 14, 17, 22, 26
Assignment 4Due: Thurs. Oct. 1stChapter 4: 1, 5, 6, 7
Check the assumption of normality for the data
in number one by doing a qqplot for each population.
Assignment 5Due: Thurs. Oct. 8thsee Handout
Assignment 6Due: Tues. Oct. 20thChapter 5: 1, 4, 6, 8, 10
Assignment 7 *RESCHEDULED*
Due: Tues. Nov. 10th
A) For the data in 9.7-8, conduct both the Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness of fit test AND the Chi-square goodness of fit test. For a poisson, P(X=x) = (lamda^x)*(exp(-lambda))/x! .

B) 9.7-6

C) Perform the two-sided Komogorov-Smirnov goodness of fit test on the data in table 1 on page 69. Perform both the exact and large sample test.

Assignment 8Due: Thurs. Nov. 19thChapter 8: 1, 3, 5

For problem 1, construct two QQ plots for the data and perform two K-S gf tests. Does the data meet the assumptions of the t-test for rho? of the z-test for rho? Conduct both those tests and Spearman's Rank correlation test for the data.

Assignment 9Due: Tues. Dec. 1stChapter 9: 1, 3, 5

For the data in 1, estimate Beta using the classical least squares estimator, and construct the corresponding CI for it.

Assignment 10Due: Thurs. Dec. 3rdsee handout
