Tebbs Wins ASA Outstanding Statistical Application Award

Joshua Tebbs and recent graduate Chris McMahan (Ph.D. 2012) have been honored with the 2014 Outstanding Statistical Application Award presented at the Joint Statistical Meetings. This prestigious award is based on (1) the impact of the statistical application in addressing a significant problem in a substantive field and (2) the ingenuity and or novelty of the statistical treatment of the problem. The application is described in a Biometrics article, "Two-stage hierarchical group testing for multiple infections with applications to the Infertility Prevention Project" written by Josh, Chris, and Chris Bilder of Nebraska.
