Have at least 8 semester hours (12
quarter hours) of statistics, of which at least 5 semester hours (7
quarter hours) must be at the junior level or above
Have at
least a 3.25 grade point average (on a 4.0 point scale) in all
statistics courses taken, and
Rank in the top 1/3 of your
class in all course work
Graduate Level:
Have completed 12 semester hours (18
quarter hours) of graduate level courses in statistics
Have
at least a 3.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 point scale) in all
graduate level statistics courses, and
be a graduate student
in good standing
Procedures for Induction:
Members must be
inducted into Mu Sigma Rho through a regular chapter or by an
affiliate chapter
Regular Mu Sigma Rho Chapters sponsor
meetings, banquets, field trips, etc. If you are a student at a
school which has an active regular Mu Sigma Rho chapter, that is the
preferred mode of induction. For a list of regular chapter

In
addition, affiliate chapters have the power to induct qualified
students. Any ASA Chapter is automatically an affiliate Mu Sigma
Rho Chapter. The student should contact an officer of the ASA or
other Affiliate Chapter to apply for membership
It is the
responsibility of the student to establish that he/she has the
credentials for membership as listed above (class rank standing may
be established using GPA percentiles of any recent graduating
class). After this is done, the student is officially a member once
the appropriate Chapter / Affiliate Chapter officer forwards the
student's name, address, and one-time Initiation Fee of $5.00 to the
national secretary-treasurer
