Happy Anniversary !!! 2016 marks 10 years since the Master of Industrial Statistics, now the M.A.S., was approved for 100% distance delivery. We are the 3rd oldest such program in the U.S, offering 18 different graduate courses. With the exception of Stat 525 Quality Control (always taught by an instructor with extensive industrial experience) all our distance classes are taught by full time tenured or tenure-track faculty members. Thirteen different faculty members have taught in our distance program; their ranks include six ASA fellows, four University-level teaching award winners, and two finalists for University-level teaching awards.
All courses are offered online and are available in several formats, including video streaming, downloading and Adobe Connect. Our classes are taught in studios on campus and have excellent video quality. Click here for a demonstration class. Classes are taught to live on-campus graduate students; distant students have the ability to watch the class with live text-in or call-in capability, and/or watch later at their convenience, as often as needed.
There is no need to come to the Columbia, SC campus. Proctored tests are offered at local distance sites throughout the country. Assignments are submitted and returned via email or fax.
