[=MGSC 520] (3) (Prereq: STAT 516 or MGSC 391) Time series analysis
and forecasting using the multiple regression and Box-Jenkins approaches.
Course Homepage: Spring 2006 Usually Offered: Alternating Spring Semesters and in MGSC Purpose: To show the student how to recognize time series data, and to acquaint the student with the peculariaties of this kind of data. The appropriate questions to ask of the data and the general approaches which are particular to these data are examined in detail. Current Textbook: Introduction to Time Series and Forecasting, 2nd edition, by P. J. Brockwell and R. A. Davis, Springer, 2002.
